Born in 1988 in Poitoise, Pierre-Alain Poirier lives and works in Paris and Brussels.
Pierre-Alain studied painting at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensse while doing a degree in image-Print at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts décoratifs in Paris in 2012. After these courses, he moved to Berlin and began to make sculptures from artifacts he picks up around his studio. In 2014, he started to study plastic expression at the Villa Arson in Nice. He is interested by then in furniture design. These many experiences gave him a taste for different mediums that go from publishing to scukpture, drawing or photography. He combines those creating rebus, or clues between sculptal problematics and narrative approaches.
