Born in 1993 in Avignon (France), Manon Picot lives and works in Brussels since 2013.
Her work comprises experimentation between traditions and technical innovations with ceramic materials.
Manon Picot started her ceramic apprenticeship at Sevres (France), where she obtained a Diplôme des Métiers d’Art (Ceramic Crafts Diploma). This training led her to explore an innovative approach in new ceramic technologies, in parallel with an apprenticeship in traditional techniques. She immersed herself in this practice at a ceramic workshop in Morocco for three months. During her Erasmus exchange, she spent six months on the island of Bornholm in Denmark, at a Design school specialised in Glass and Ceramic arts (KADK Bornholm).
In 2017, she obtained her Masters in Ceramics after four years of study at L’ENSAV La Cambre, in Brussels.
She studied ceramic 3D printing at Unfold Design Studio, Antwerp, before pursuing a practical apprenticeship at her workshop in Brussels.
In 2018 Manon Picot co-founded Atelier des Tropiques, a group ceramic workshop.
